How to keep it cool in the summer heat – Best frozen yogurt places in Tel Aviv

I know what are you craving for these summer days, and you are right – there’s nothing like white and cold guilty pleasure called frozen yogurt! And there are few places in Tel Aviv that know how to serve it the right way. Just save these spots into your foursquare “to visit” list and be sure you’re safe from a sunstroke this summer.

YOGO on Rostchild 19. What to do : order large portion of white frozen yogurt, choose toppings from a huge variety by your choice ( strawberry, white chocolates, watermelon and honey on the top, that’s just my advice) and sit outside watching relaxed people with kids and dogs walking down the Rotschild boulevard. Open till late night, but causes an addiction.

TAMARA Yogurt on Ben Yehuda 96 (on the corner with Gordon street). What to do: choose your flavor of yogurt – natural white or strawberry or apple or whatever is on the menu today, get fruits and sweet toppings sky high (take “pasiflora” – be telavivien!) and get comfortable in a cute swing to enjoy your yogurt. Really cute place with the best yogurt in the city and nice light blue decoration, providing the hugest variety of toppings so far. Ask for their card – by purchasing 9 yogurts you’ll get your lucky 10th for free;).

Dizengoff Street, Tel Aviv – A Street for Everyone!

You can’t be in Tel-Aviv without visiting a few times to Dizengoff, Theres just too much to do on the street. Dizengoff is a “mix” street, it has many kinds of people, areas and things to do…

Dizengoff Street is divided into 3 zones:

Dizingoff Center area to Kikar Dizengoff:

A very noisy area all around Tel-Aviv’s old shopping mall – Dizengoff center.
In this area, many of the people, you’ll meet are not from Tel Aviv, its where out of the city people come and do their shopping.
This area starts in The Shopping mall and ends around Kikar Dizengoff.

Frishman Street to Arlozerov Street Area:

Between these 2 streets most of Dizingoff shopping takes place, there are tons of shops, it’s a mix of very stylish shops along together with really cheep bargain shops. This area has also tons of fast food places and coffee shops.

Arlozerov Street to Yimiyaho Street:

As soon as get to Arlozerov, you’ll notice the change in the street’s atmosphere. The shops are now more boutique style, and the sidewalk is full of different people, even the coffee shops are now with a different kind of people.
This area has many designer shops and the shops get more expensive as you walk more north..

What do i recommend for Dizengoff Street?

  • Eat Sabich Frishman on frishman street – Great Israeli Fast food (worth the line!)
  • Buy a Tee at Torso T-shirts (close to Frishman street corner) – Great T-shirt concept shop.
  • Dress up at Block 190 (close to Gordon street corner) – A very stylish clothing shop.
  • Drink coffee at the Espresso bar on the corner of Ben-Gurion Avenue – Great view on Dizengoff.
  • Drink a shake in the juice stand on the corner of Ben-Gurion Avenue!
  • Go drink a beer in the Mate bar – close to Jabotinsky Street
  • Go drink a beer in the Servesa bar (Armadillo icon on the door) – close to Ben-Gurion Avenue.

Remember, Dizengoff is for everyone, if you didn’t have fun on it, it’s probably because you’ve spent your time in the wrong area of it that doesn’t fit you 🙂

Dizengoff has it all!

Zichron Ya’akov, What a great Israeli Neighborhood!

People love visiting Zichron not because that theres sooo much to do there, but more because of looking around for houses for sale and dreaming that one of them would be there own one day. Zichron is known for its Pedestrian only street that has a lot of shops and restaurants and almost on every turn you take Theres another beautiful street just full of Israeli History.

Make sure you get into one of the small wine cellars and taste some great Israeli boutique wines and after that finish the day by finding an ocean view, the view from Zicron toward the ocean is breathtaking.

Great drive and even a better place – Ein Hod Artists Vilage

If you want a day out of Tel-Aviv, there are tons of great places to do this, one of my favorite spots is without a doubt Ein-Hod Artists Village. Located on a mountain just in front of Atlit beach, This Village has a million dollar view point.

Ein-Hod has amazing galleries and the options of getting great pieces are very high because the whole place is just packed of art galleries of all kinds.

What I really want to recommend about are two great places i spent time in..

Dona Rosa Restaurant

Great authentic Argentinian restaurant that serves amazing meat with a private grill right to your table! (I had to drink 1-2 espressos just to get to the car after that!)

Homemade Pizza and Beer place

What a great place, the whole thing has an India vibe to it, very simple but still, the homemade beer was great, I didn’t try the pizza, but it also seemed made with love. I enjoyed a live blues show that was right on the spot. The simple things in Life: Pizza, Beer and live music!

What I would really recommend as well is to walk around in the allies of Ein-Hod and breathe in that great vibe the place has. I returned home to Tel-Aviv refreshed and ready for the city for another week 🙂
